The mother of a man suffering from paranoid schizophrenia urged police and mental health services to intervene hours before he brutally killed his partner, a court has heard.
Jake Neate, 37, has been charged with murder over the death of Suzanne Brown, 34, in December 2017.

Getty Nike -- one of the largest sports apparel companies in the world -- has "suspended" its relationship with Deshaun Watson amid the investigation into sexual misconduct.
"We are deeply concerned by the disturbing allegations and have suspended Deshaun Watson," Nike said in a statement released Wednesday morning.
"We will continue to closely monitor the situation."
Watson has been with Nike since 2017 -- the year he entered the NFL Draft.
A U.K. court has ordered jailed reality TV star Stephen Bear to pay £207,900 ($268,184) in damages to ex-girlfriend Georgia Harrison.
