Want to make your food last longer and go further?

Sainsbury’s new campaign '...to the rescue' gives you great advice on how to make the most of your food, helping you to cut down on food waste and save you money.

Check out these brilliant tips:

• If you're keeping sliced bread in the freezer, just give it a shake before it goes in to stop the slices freezing together so they're ready to be popped into the toaster.

• Most fruit will last longer in the fridge, except pineapples and bananas which like it better in the fruit bowl.

• Don't keep potatoes in the fridge. They like it dark and dry so store them in a kitchen cupboard, and they'll last much longer.

• Tomatoes going wrinkly in the fridge? Simply add them in with some garlic, onion and herbs to make a delicious pasta sauce.
